HATW Hands Across The Sand Global Event Venice Beach

Venice! Join Hands Along The Water (HATW) as we stand united for the annual, global Hands Across The Sand event. Hands Across The Sand got its start in 2010 by joining together on beaches throughout the world to stand up against off shore drilling. Hands Along The Water got our start in August 2018 as we stood in solidarity on 33 different beaches throughout Florida to demand action against red tide, toxic algae and the nutrient pollution that feeds it.

We are happy to join the Hands Across The Sand organization on Saturday, May 18th to defend water and marine life by saying no to off shore drilling in Federal waters (already voted against off shore drilling in Florida waters), completely banning fracking, addressing the nutrient pollution that’s feeding red tide, and moving toward sustainable energy in Florida.

(We will have TWO Sarasota County events: Venice Beach and Siesta Key Beach. This event is the Venice Beach event).

We will gather at the Pavilion (building at the end of Venice Avenue, at Venice Beach) for a few words and then head out to the beach together to hold hands. See you there!
