Hands Across the Sands 2020 Dunedin

The waters of St. Joseph Sound are now part of the newly designated Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot and Dunedin has been named the Home City! Please join hands with us in support of keeping our Hope Spot healthy. The line of supporters we form will symbolize our community’s resolve to improve the health of our waters and eliminate threats including offshore oil drilling and seismic testing in our gulf waters.

Our daily actions on land can affect our waters and vice-versa. Oceans, aquifers and waterways, all of which are critical to our survival as well as our marine life ecosystems, our economy, our property values, and our businesses. Now is the time for citizens across the globe to join hands and steer our energy policy away from our dependence on fossil fuels and towards clean energy and renewables. In 2019 the state of Florida organized 30 Hands Across the Sands events, more than any other state! Please join us again this year and put Dunedin Florida on the map as the city having the LONGEST line! Hands Across the Sand is a movement made up of people from all walks of life; parents, friends, neighbors, small business owners, and more. We span political lines, geographic boundaries, and socioeconomic groups. We are united by the desire to protect our oceans, marine life, wildlife, our environment and our way of life. Please remember to bring your reusable bottle and stay hydrated!
