Hands Across the Sand SE Florida

Meet us on the beach Saturday May 18, 2019.
Say YES 👍🏽to Clean, Renewable Energy!
Say NO 👎 to Dirty Fossil Fuels and Seismic Airgun Blasting

We have never been closer to having our ocean blasted and drilled for oil. At 12 noon on May 18th, people on beaches all over the nation will be joining hands in solidarity against seismic airgun blasting and offshore drilling in the Atlantic.

Join Oceana (usa.oceana.org), the Urban Paradise Guild (http://urbanparadiseguild.org), Surfrider Foundation Miami (www.surfridermiami.org) & our community partners for this important annual event!

Where we stake our claim to our precious oceans and rivers by taking a stand on the sand. For more information about why this year’s Hands Across the Sand is so important, go to stopthedrill.org

The #JoinHANDS movement started in Florida.

Back in 2010, a statewide gathering against near and offshore oil drilling occurred in Florida a couple months BEFORE the BP spill disaster.
10,000 Floridians representing 60 towns and cities and over 90 beaches joined hands to protest the efforts by the Florida Legislature and the US Congress to lift the ban on oil drilling in the near and off shores of Florida.

Now in 2019, it is a critical time for our oceans and environment. Say NO to filthy fuels and YES to clean energy!
