Hands Across the Sand Jacksonville Beach
Hands Across the Sand Jacksonville Beach-
Meet on the NORTH side of the Jacksonville Beach Pier. Bring your surfboards and paddleboards to join our paddle out at noon!
Say NO to offshore oil exploration and the oil rigs off our beaches that it could lead to, and say YES to clean, renewable energy for Florida’s future! Join us on the North side of the Jax Beach pier for this annual event where lovers and protectors of oceans, beaches, and marine life gather to make their voices heard to urge our elected officials to protect our coasts.
We will join hands along the shoreline forming both a physical and metaphorical line in the sand, standing up for marine life, healthy oceans, clean beaches and thriving coastal economies. There will be a lineup in the water for surfers, boogie boarders and SUP’ers – so make sure to bring your board!
A beach cleanup organized by Sea Shepherd will begin at 9 a.m. with the main event starting at 11 a.m.
