Gainesville – All Hands to the Beach – FL

Weekends are a time for folks from Gainesville to head to the Beach. Crescent Beach, as been a popular destination for UF Students throughout history. In North Central Florida we have many environmental groups. Each Group should take their tent and the group and join hands at noon along Crescent Beach. It would be great to have a continuous line at noon from Mantas Inlet to St Augustine.

Meet – south of Crescent Beach Park there is off beach parking available as well as on the beach. Let’s get every group from, Sea Turtle Conservancy, to Sierra to NAACP, surf riders and our local commissioners, UF Marine Biology Club Santa Fe Environmental Club and every organization that has show a concern for fracking, oil drilling, sea level rise as well as all the other global and ocean warming issues, to have a showing as we connect hands from Mantanzs Inlet to St. Augustine. 12 noon, join hands for 10 minutes of silence. Followed by a coastal cleanup in the area your standing. Please share an invite everyone for the largest ever show of unity. Try to schedule a group bus, or at least carpool to reduce the carbon impact of a trip to the beach. Bring your picnic lunch and leave the beach cleaner than you found it. Noon we will be midway on an outgoing tide. Come early or stay late. Have a Great Day and post pictures of all the important people present.
