Second beach: Purgatory/Paradise Aves.- at surfer's end near rock. You may not be able to park without a sticker, but you can access the beach by foot easiest at this location.

Ferry leaves from Bristol at 10 AM. It is a 20 minute walk to Sandy Point Light from the ferry. Ferry leaves island at 4 PM. Bring a picnic lunch, travel light. We will gather at the beach by 11 AM. (please note: no public 'facilities' on the island).

From 95 North exit 92, at end of ramp take right on to route 2 Follow Rte 2 to rte 78 From 95 South Exit 1 Rte 3 to rt 78 At Route 78 to stop light...go through light to airport rd. stop sign take left proceed to 1A or straight through onto Winnapaug till you get to the beach

From Rt. 95, take exit 92. Follow onto rt 2/ Liberty St. Turn right onto Rt 78, follow to the end. Straight through the stop lights, follow signs for Misquamicut Beach. Turn left onto Altlantic Avenue, the town beach will be on your right

What to do at a
Hands Event
STEP 1
Go to the beach at 11 AM in your time zone for one hour, rain or shine.
STEP 2
Join hands for 15 minutes at 12:00 forming lines in the sand against oil drilling in our coastal waters.
STEP 3
Leave only your footprints.
Tips of the Day
- Use only approved beach accesses and parking.
- Create as long a line or as many lines as you wish.
- Be courteous and respectful to those who disagree with your view.
- Please steer clear of bird nesting areas.
- …enjoy yourself, it’s the beach!
