Halfway in between Spooner Summit and Sand Harbor, find the parking lot on the west side of the highway. Be careful and follow the steep trail down. Please note the organizers may or may not be able to make an 11am-12pm event time as we'll be kayaking the East Shore of Lake Tahoe and cannot commit to a specific time/place. However, we will be joining hands across the sand, we will be promoting solidarity with other activists by getting Nevada involved in this important day, and we hope others will come out for this day of action to promote no more off shore drilling leases, and support the need for renewable energy generation.

What to do at a
Hands Event
STEP 1
Go to the beach at 11 AM in your time zone for one hour, rain or shine.
STEP 2
Join hands for 15 minutes at 12:00 forming lines in the sand against oil drilling in our coastal waters.
STEP 3
Leave only your footprints.
Tips of the Day
- Use only approved beach accesses and parking.
- Create as long a line or as many lines as you wish.
- Be courteous and respectful to those who disagree with your view.
- Please steer clear of bird nesting areas.
- …enjoy yourself, it’s the beach!
