Camden Harbor Park is across the street from the Camden Public Library which is listed as 55 Main St. Camden, Going north through the town of Camden - take side street on right, Atlantic Ave., just before the Library. It is a one-way street. Park anywhere you can find a space in town. The Library, also, has a parking area on Atlantic Ave. It is on the left up an incline after the Library entrance. (Plan to stay on in town for Dances of Universal Peace 7 pm - more info at event)

There are many places to park in the vicinity of Old Orchard Beach. All mapping services and GPS units will give acurate directions to the area. Finding parking is your only challenge! We will be meeting around 11:00am to plan & assemble UNDER & AROUND THE PIER. For those of you who do not know this area, the pier is the only structure that protrudes out above the water, about 600 feet. It is near the end of the center strip of the tourist area, next to the ferris wheel. It is not hard to find. If you have any trouble, simply ask ANYONE at the beach, I am certain they will know how to get you there. We will start in the center and line out in both directions on either side of the pier. Please bring a watch, cell phone or timing device. So that at noon, sharp, we can all raise our arms straight up into the air (above our heads) and grasp the persons hand next to us, bringing our hands down, all together, to our sides for the official joining of hands across the sand. (Please, Do Not Phone Except on the Day of the Event)

What to do at a
Hands Event
STEP 1
Go to the beach at 11 AM in your time zone for one hour, rain or shine.
STEP 2
Join hands for 15 minutes at 12:00 forming lines in the sand against oil drilling in our coastal waters.
STEP 3
Leave only your footprints.
Tips of the Day
- Use only approved beach accesses and parking.
- Create as long a line or as many lines as you wish.
- Be courteous and respectful to those who disagree with your view.
- Please steer clear of bird nesting areas.
- …enjoy yourself, it’s the beach!
