Meet where the sand begins near Fullerton-by the restrooms. Take public tran/bike to Fullerton (Zoo area). Walk to the beach path-walk south to where the sand begins. We'll meet in the sand, just wave your hands in the air to find everybody involved. See you there!

If by bus, use the 22 Clark or 36 Broadway and get off at Fullerton. If driving, you could try the Zoo parking lot. Walk east to the beach. When you reach the beach follow the 'bike path' to the Rest Room (looks like a little house) I'll be in front on the sand. Come and show unity against the big oil companies.

Illinois Beach State Park is one mile east of the intersection of Sheridan and Wadsworth Roads. Take Wadsworth and continue east where it tuns into Patmos Ave. You wind around in 3/4 circle past the conference center and to the parking and beach. Directions available on Google Maps.

What to do at a
Hands Event
STEP 1
Go to the beach at 11 AM in your time zone for one hour, rain or shine.
STEP 2
Join hands for 15 minutes at 12:00 forming lines in the sand against oil drilling in our coastal waters.
STEP 3
Leave only your footprints.
Tips of the Day
- Use only approved beach accesses and parking.
- Create as long a line or as many lines as you wish.
- Be courteous and respectful to those who disagree with your view.
- Please steer clear of bird nesting areas.
- …enjoy yourself, it’s the beach!
